Why RE/MAX? What the Network Actually Means for Your Transaction

Brand recognition says nothing about the quality of a transaction. The real question is narrower: what does a network actually contribute to a seller or a buyer, once the marketing is set aside?

What network size changes

RE/MAX is the largest real estate network in the world by transaction volume. In Quebec, RE/MAX Du Cartier is an established franchise with deep roots in the Montreal and Laval markets.

For a seller: the listing reaches every active buyer’s broker in the network, and those brokers represent a substantial share of the qualified buyers in the market at any given moment. Network reach is a component of exposure, exposure drives competition, and competition acts on price.

For a buyer: access covers the full Centris inventory, plus the informal information that circulates in the network before a property is listed.

Local expertise inside a network

What a global network does not replace is knowledge of the local market. A banner does not know the price difference between two streets in Duvernay.

The value of affiliation lies elsewhere: it places a broker within a community of professionals transacting in the same neighbourhoods and sharing information on the same micro-markets. That flow of information has real value, but it does not substitute for analytical work.

The included programs

At RE/MAX Québec, three programs are added to the transaction at no extra cost: Tranquilli-T for legal assistance, Intégri-T covering up to $50,000 in latent defects for three years, and Coproprié-T for condominium transactions.

These are not selling points: they are risk-reduction mechanisms. A buyer who discovers water infiltration six months after purchase does not need a speech, they need coverage.

What a network cannot guarantee

Affiliation with a strong banner does not guarantee the quality of any individual broker’s work. Choosing a professional should rest on their analytical method, their communication style and their knowledge of the target market.

The network is the infrastructure. The broker is the service.
